These are the best-selling video and computer games in January this year.

In January 2023, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the remake of the horror game Dead Space and Madden NFL 23 were the best-selling video games in the USA. According to the NPD Group’s latest figures for the period 1-28 January 2023, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II takes the top spot on the list for the fourth year in a row, based on dollar sales.

Interestingly, the remake of Dead Space, which was only released on 27 January, made it to second place on the list. The game managed to move into second place in just two days of sales, which is a remarkable result.

Football video game Madden NFL 23 followed in third place, while other games that made it into the top 10 were FIFA 23, Fire Emblem Engage, Elden Ring, Forspoken, God of War: Ragnarok, One Piece Odyssey and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet.

It is important to note, however, that some sales of digital products and downloads were not included in this list. Nevertheless, the list reflects the continued popularity of action, sports and role-playing games.
