Tokyo Game Show 2023: The most important dates, games and livestreams at a glance
The Tokyo Game Show 2023 has started! We have the opening programme video and the recording of the livestream for you here.
As every year, we can expect numerous livestreams and reports from the show, most of which will be presented by the game publishers themselves. Apart from the Xbox & Bethesda Digital Broadcast, classic “conferences” have not been announced. Sony and Nintendo already held their State of Play and Nintendo Direct last week. But that by no means means that it will be less exciting. Here are some potentially interesting dates for you:
TGS 2023 Opening Show & Keynote
Date: 20 September

The official opening of the fair will take place as a livestream, but it differs from the elaborate opening shows that are common at Gamescom. Directly afterwards at 04:00 there will be the keynote. We don’t expect any game announcements, but for night owls it might be worth a look.
RGG Summit Autumn 2023
Date: 20 September
Time: 05:00 and 06:00 Uhr

The Summit has the latest information on “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name” and “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth”. For the West, the “RGG Like a Dragon Direct” has been announced, which serves as a counterpart to the RGG Summit and probably offers English subtitles. There could also be some differences in content.
Xbox & Bethesda Digital Broadcast

The announcement states that the Tokyo Game Show is a special time each year to showcase news and updates on games to excite Xbox fans in Japan and across Asia.
SEGA Official News

SEGA will be holding its monthly live show “NEW” as part of the official TGS programme. The show will last about 50 minutes and will feature “Sonic Superstars” and “Persona 5 Tactica”. Big new announcements are unlikely as the livestream has not been heavily promoted.

In the “TGS 2023 Capcom Online Program”, Director Hideaki Itsuno will personally present and discuss new scenes from “Dragon’s Dogma 2”.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Stage Event

Originally not included in the show’s line-up, “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” will be playable at 100 game stations. There will also be a stage event with the developers and special guests, where the demo will be presented in detail.
Tales of Arise 2nd Anniversary Special Livestream
