It is finally available again and can now be ordered in the Apple Store.

We are talking about the Apple polishing cloth, also affectionately called “iLappen”. The “very effective” piece of cloth is supposed to cost 25 Euros and is compatible with a whopping 88 Apple devices – similar to the eyeglass cleaning cloths, for example, which you usually get for free at the optician. The colleagues from W&V took a closer look at the good piece and even included the statements and results from iFixit in their research. iFixit is known for completely taking apart every exciting tech device and letting its readers participate.

Computer Bild, Golem or t3n.de have also reported about the “cloth rag from Cupertino”. It’s exciting to see that a double microfiber cloth for 25 euros, which can be used to clean (not polish) the 5000 euro Apple Pro Display XDR or the screens of the new MacBook M1 Pro / Max models, could become such a big topic. Because even if Apple shouldn’t have had any interest in all this hype, they are currently the talk of the town. Not bad, not bad.
