Nike, in collaboration with Epic Games, has introduced “Airphoria” to Fortnite. Airphoria combines Nike’s iconic Air Max brand with the immersive world of Fortnite, creating a unique connection between gaming and culture. The partnership builds on a long-standing collaboration between Nike and Epic Games.
The special thing about Airphoria is the combination of the characteristic design elements of Nike and Air Max with the dynamic and constantly evolving world of Fortnite. The project is made possible by Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), which allows players to explore a specially designed Air Max world together with their friends. Airphoria celebrates the spirit of innovation and personal expression, and fans can experience Air Max sneakers in a new and engaging way as they embark on the ultimate sneaker hunt.
Airphoria is brought to life through the power of five iconic Air Max “Grails” (Air Max 1 OG, Air Max 97, Air Max TW, Air Max Scorpion and Air Max Pulse) hovering over the city of Airphoria. These Air Max Grails represent important moments in Air Max history and allow the city to exist in the “Air State” – a place that embodies imagination and creativity. For the launch of Airphoria, Fortnite players can purchase the outfits of the two main characters Airie and Maxxed Out Max in the Fortnite Item Shop. The outfits are part of the Airphoria package, which also includes the Pure Sole Boombox and Maxx Stacks Back Blings.
At the same time, a limited edition Airphoria-inspired collection will be released on nike.com in North America to connect the virtual world of Airphoria in Fortnite with Nike Air Max.
Airphoria Island is available now from June 20 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time until June 27 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Players can access the island by either using Fortnite Discover or entering the island code 2118-5342-7190.
In addition, players who are at least 13 years old, live in the U.S. and link their Epic Games and Nike accounts between June 20 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time and June 27 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time can claim a reward on .SWOOSH until August 8, 2023. Information: fn.gg/airphoria-swoosh-achievements.
