Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Berlin – We were there!
The Pokémon Go Fest in Berlin was a complete success, despite the weather!
From 01-03 July we were there as Team Ranieri supporting.
The event started last Friday with rain. Nevertheless, the atmosphere among the visitors and participants was good. The Pokémon community had to wait too long for the European offshoot of GO Fest for the fans to let a little rain spoil the good mood and precious time. Especially since the rain slowly disappeared during the course of the day and made way for the best summer weather.
The joy of being able to pursue one’s favorite activity with other people again was omnipresent.
Trainers from all over the world were present on all days. The area was huge and invited to discover. There were many beautiful moments. For example, our colleagues were able to observe how a young person from South America met an older gentleman from Japan during his Pokémon search, and the whole thing ended in a major swap and a friendly chat.
So Pokémon is not only moving Generation Z at the moment, but also connecting older generations and somehow also continents with each other.
A great example of how video games can bring people together.
The elaborate costumes of the many visitors were also particularly spectacular, often perfectly matching the loving decorations on the grounds in Britzer Park. The huge Relaxo on the lake or the specially heaped up beach on the Windy Coast, for example, rounded off the visual impression of the Pokémon GO Fest in Berlin and allowed the many excited visitors to completely immerse themselves in a world full of Pokémon.
We, too, were thrilled by what we experienced in Berlin and would like to thank all the great people we were able to meet again (after a long time) or get to know for the first time.
