Nintendo Switch: Metroid Prime Remastered is out!

Nintendo fans worldwide should be happy about this release: Metroid Prime Remastered was released yesterday for the Switch. The game was surprisingly announced recently in the first Nintendo Direct Event of the year.

Nintendo Switch Metroid Prime Remastered
Okay, it’s not Metroid Prime 4, but for fans of the intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran, it’s still big news: because for the release, the original Metroid Prime is being remastered for the Switch. And what’s even better is that the game already appeared yesterday in the Nintendo eShop. The physical version will only be available in stationary stores from 22 February. All this was announced during Nintendo’s first Direct presentation in 2023.

The first Prime appeared on the GameCube two decades ago and stood out for the way it turned Super Metroid’s atmospheric exploration into a first-person experience. Two sequels followed. A fourth game, aptly named Metroid Prime 4, is current and has been in the works for some time. The final game in the series is the 2D action title Metroid Dread, which was released for the Switch in 2021.

We hope you have fun playing it!
