Activision reveals gameplay scenes and details of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for the first time.
Activision and Call of Duty Studios have unveiled the first immersive gameplay scenes from the long-awaited Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III in a groundbreaking reveal. Fans can look forward to a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The player once again steps into the action-packed shoes of Captain Price and Task Force 141 to face an even greater threat.
The plot of Modern Warfare III takes place immediately after the events of the predecessor. There, the ruthless, ultra-nationalist war criminal Vladimir Makarov has expanded his influence and unleashed global chaos. Task Force 141, led by Captain Price, faces a whole new challenge that forces them into a fight to the death.
It is exciting that players in Modern Warfare III can make decisions that can influence the course of their missions, their equipment and even routes. This leads to an even more intense and individual gaming experience. The open combat missions expand the familiar cinematic staging of the Call of Duty campaign and offer players even greater tactical freedom.
Modern Warfare III’s multiplayer mode will also delight fans. The game features 16 newly remastered maps from Modern Warfare 2, updated with new modes and gameplay mechanics and enhanced with nostalgic elements. The game also includes over a dozen brand new 6v6 maps available after the start of the live season for added variety. Exciting new features such as Ground War maps and the revamped War Mode are designed to provide more varied multiplayer experiences.
The popular game variant with zombies also returns in Modern Warfare III. For the first time, players can support other groups to take on huge hordes of the undead on the largest Call of Duty Zombies map to date. Zombies mode will keep players enthralled for hours with an exciting Treyarch storyline, new missions and hidden secrets.
Activision exclusively announced the “Nemesis Operation Pack” to build anticipation for the release. It includes skins, weapon vaults, Battle Pass bundles and more. Pre-orderers will get immediate access to the Modern Warfare III beta and can even play the campaign up to a week before the official launch.
PlayStation owners will be prioritised by receiving exclusive access to the beta and campaign. For gaming enthusiasts around the world, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will finally be available on 10 November 2023. A thrilling sequel full of breathtaking action, profound decisions and nail-biting suspense awaits players.
