Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – Very successful launch in the UK!

The video game “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” from Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment has had a successful launch in the UK, achieving the second biggest retail launch of 2023.

The sequel to the successful 2019 game “Fallen Order” managed to beat the remake of “Resident Evil 4” released in March, but was beaten by the fantasy adventure “Hogwarts Legacy”.

According to Christopher Dring, head of GamesIndustry.biz, this is the eighth strongest start for a “Star Wars” title in the history of the British retail market. However, retail sales are down 35 per cent compared to its predecessor, “Fallen Order”. However, this comparison is not very meaningful due to the increase in digital sales, as more and more gamers are buying their games online.

The game has received positive reviews internationally overall, but there were some technical problems and bugs at release. The developers have promised to fix these as soon as possible with updates. One critical bug, which in the worst case could lead to the inability to continue the game and having to start a new one, was criticised by the community. Furthermore, it became clear that there is still room for improvement in the technical implementation. Performance analyses have shown that you should play the game in quality mode to get the best technical experience.

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is available for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
